As Jenni would say "Jay-Lo"

For those who may not know Lola is the daughter of my two very close friends Chad and Jenni Roseland. Chad has been a good friend of mine since elementary school. Jenni and I became friends just before Chad and Jenni met. Jenni and I grew closer through out our pregnancy. She was due 7 days before me, but the two of us gave birth to our beautiful daughters on the same day. I still can't believe it. We like to say the two of them are BFF's. I love watching the two girls grow together. It's fun having Lola's big brother Kyan around too. He does a great job making the girls laugh. He is gonna be a great protector for when the boys come around ;-)!!

We don't get to spend as much time together now that Jenni headed back to work for the school year. We had a wonderful summer with them and can't wait for winter break.

~~~ Still waiting to get them together for their pictures in our handmade tutu's~~
Looking back on Jayla's first 5 months
I can't believe how fast time fly's. Jayla is just over 5 months old and has so much personality. Mommy gets her laughing and daddy is her snuggle bug. She loves to hear her voice and squeals all the time. I think she thinks she is singing. She also likes to tell us about her dreams when she wakes up in the morning. She's is our little chatter box and is such a morning person. I can't wait til we actually understand what she is trying to say. She started on her solids about a month ago. She loves her apples. It is the only thing she eats that she will finish off the whole thing. She is pretty picky with everything else, including her formula.
Jayla's first swim 7-13-08
Jayla finally got to spend some time in her swimming pool. It took some convincing from her Aunt Jenni and best friend Lola. She spent about 20 minutes in and seemed to enjoy it until she got tired and cranky. This was a fun day for us too as we had friends over for some good BBQin. I know we need to do this more often. I think we are still adjusting to parent hood. Next summer we will be pro's!
