Jenni's Crafty

Jayla with her inspirational bow
Some of Jenni's creations!!

My creation's for the night!
Hard at work
Jenni the pro.

Last night Jenni hosted a bow/flower clip making party for us. She has been making us adorable hair pieces for our daughters hair and even introduced us to the lady who got her inspired. It was a great opportunity for all the mommies and daddies to get together, hang out, and eat some good food. On top of all that, us mommies got to make the cutest/ stylish hair clips for our girls to sport. Each mommy contributed some ribbon, flowers, clips, etc. to be crafty! We owe most of our thanks to Jenni, not only for putting this together, but for teaching us, and supplying most of the goodies.

Jenni and I are also talking about making a ton to sell. Hopefully we will be ready for a booth at the farmer's market come October, but in the mean time we will be making them, so if you are interested let us know. I also think Jenni might be selling some at Camille's salon and I may even hit up my cousin Candy's salon.

This was so much fun for me. Who would have thought! Maybe I am like my mother after all. She LOVES being crafty!! Or better yet, maybe it's like Jenni said, "it's like therapy for me"!

~~Love ya Jenni, thanks again~~

Who Needs a Binky When You Got a Toothbrush

For the past four months we have been brushing Jay's teeth with her very own toothbrush and toothpaste. She loves it, but all of a sudden this past week she throws a tantrum when we try to take the toothbrush away. She wants to keep it in her mouth to suck on. She will go everywhere with it in her mouth, kinda like the old binky days. I am thinking it helps with the pain of her four big chompers on top. Three of the four are half way down and one is just peeking out. I am not sure how good the sucking of the toothbrush is for her teeth, but hey, it beats a screaming baby!

Such a little poser!

Her hair is growing so fast, she can't see unless we clip back those bangs.

I got that Mommy!!

This morning I was sitting on the computer and out of my sight was Jayla, playing of course. I could hear her pushing around this empty bin for our dog food. It was sitting out of the pantry in reminder that we needed to go buy some more food. Anyways, as I was sitting at the computer all of a sudden the kitchen lights turned off. Weird I thought and as I looked over to the light switch on the other side of our kitchen island, I saw a little hand poking above the kitchen island on the light switch. I was then thinking, can Jayla really reach that now?! But when I poked around the corner of the island this is what I found....

It's crazy how smart babies can be. While pushing around the dog food bin, she got a bright idea to push it over to the light switch and climbed right on up to turn off the lights. She was laughing at her discovery. I couldn't stop laughing either.

You scream we all Scream for a little Ice Cream.

All soaked after my run through the water!

I see you!!

Uncle Adam and cousin A.J.

Enjoying some ice cream with daddy.

Cold Stone Creamery use to be right up the street from us, but because of this darn economy it shut down. Now we have to drive over to the westgate to enjoy some yummy ice cream. Not that this isn't close to us either, but the parking and walking through westgate is not as convenient as before... So we thought! It was actually a lot of fun for Jay. They have a little water play area for kiddos, which so happens to be right outside of Cold Stone. Jayla had so much fun watching all the kids play. I even had to walk her through the water a few times. The water was super cold but Jay didn't seem to mind. She got soaked!

~ This may be a better meeting place for all the mommies (hint-hint)~

Famer's Market's with the Girls!

My little sunshine (thanks Jenni)

Today was a girly day. Jenni and Lola, Camille and Avery, and Me n Jay headed out early this morning. We started the day at Park West Farmers Market. It is right up the street from me and I have been dying to go. Jenni had been once before and shared in on the fun. While we were there we spent time in the petting zoo. Jay and Lo had fun playing with all the

crazy animals. They were a bit stand offish but you can tell they were very interested. We then headed over to Estrella's Farmer's Market. This was quit a drive, but we were desperate to meet up with Jenni's bow lady. She makes the cutest flower/bow clips for little girls hair. I had never been out that way. It is so beautiful, very peaceful and relaxing. We spent most of our time just hanging in a shaded grassing area. We tried to catch up, since we are all so busy. This wasn't easy with two hyper 13 month olds trying to see everything. They wanted to keep on moving. Lola was in love with the water. I think she wanted more than anything to take a swim. Little Miss Avery was so good the entire time. She is such a chill baby girl. I would say I miss those days, but Jay was not so good back then. Camille is very lucky!

Jayla loved the ducky!

Cutie Patootie, Avery!

Lola's walking skills, she is almost there!

Jay much rather crawl places.

So cute together. Can't wait to see Avery standing next to them.

~Thank you girls for a fun morning. I love that we all have girls together and that we are all now mommy's. We need more days like this. Love you all!!~~

Dinner with Daddy on his day off.

We kept the fun going on Daddy's day off and decided to go to Sandbar for dinner. Not that this is anything new and exciting for the Garrett family. Sandbar is right up the street from our house. We have taken Jay there several times. She seems to enjoy all the lights and colors. And now she entertains herself quit well while we eat. Jearel and I usually take turns in who gets to enjoy the ice cold Dos Equis, but since it was Jear's day off, it was his turn. We got some silly pics of Jay this time and had to share.
So serious!

Keeping herself entertained with a straw!

Whatever floats your boat Jay.

Checking out the server.

Take Jayla out to the Ball Game.

Our make shift shade for the kiddos

Jearel had took the day off on Wednesday since he worked late the night before. We decided to go up to the new ball park on 107th n Camelback to watch a spring training game. We really didn't watch the game, but enjoyed in eachothers company with Jenni, Kyan, and Lola. Jearel loves getting time to spend with Kyan. He is his little buddy. They are so cute together! I know Jearel really wants a little boy, even though he wouldn't trade Jay in for the world. With that being said we are officially working on baby # 2.
~Thanks Jenni for sharing in a fun afternoon with us. It was nice to just sit and relax. I can't get over how good our girls were with just sitting in one spot for so long. Maybe we can try this again soon and bring Chad along.~
