The Count Down Begins to a Two Year Old

So we took Jayla to the park to capture some pictures of her, mostly to find one to use for her invitations (coming soon). Thankfully Jenni has been nice enough to let us borrow her very nice spare camera. I think I did a pretty good job considering my model was in a great mood.

Yes, I know the head band was a bit much but it came with the tutu so we snapped a few with her in it!!
Jayla was chasing the "birdies" or better known as the pigeons
This is what she does when we ask her who the big girl is...."MEEEEE"
She stopped to look at the "bugs" (don't worry we ditched the shoes too)
Now let the shoot begin :)

Dancing like a princess

More dancing... I wish we would have gotten her on video.

Some lovely editing thanks to Jenni :)... I have no clue how to use photo shop!!

It's crazy to think our baby girl will be two years old in just a few more weeks. Time for another one!!!
~Thank you Jenni, we love you!!~

Phoenix Zoo

Last week Jayla and I headed over to the Phoenix Zoo to meet an old friend of mine and her two kids. Shana and I lost touch after high school, but thanks to facebook we have been able to re-connect. We've chatted a few times on the phone, shared several of emails, and then FINALLY we were able to get together. Jayla had a great time meeting new friends and of course we all had a blast at the zoo.

Jayla patiently waiting for our friends to arrive!!

They had the CUTEST little play area for kids (it was made up of the "little people", only life sized)
Jayla kept giving the "moo cow" kisses!
She decided she wanted to ride the "moo cow"
Nason (Shana's boy) was trying to get Jayla to smile for the pictures.
These monkeys were crazy. They were the LOUDEST animals I have ever heard.
Nason trying to be a turtle
Jayla and Rylie (Shana's little girl) playing
~I LOVE THIS FACE~
Rylie, not so happy :(
"RAFS", Jayla's favorite

Jayla loved the "pink birdies"
Shana and her adorable kiddos
Me and my little love
~Shana, thank you soooo much for inviting us out to spend the day with you. Jayla and I had a lot of fun and probably would have NEVER picked the Phoenix Zoo to go to. You know I am a bigger fan to the Wildlife World Zoo. You will have to make the long drive over to go with us next time. I think you will love it!!! I can't wait for our next get together. We love you!!~

Happy Birthday to My Dad!!!!

I just wanted to share a special birthday wish to my dad. My parents live in Missouri, which makes it hard on these special days. I wish we could be there to help him celebrate.
~HAPPY 64th BIRTHDAY DAD/GRANDPA~
There is not a day that goes by that we don't miss you or think of you. I hope this birthday brings you the retirement that you've been waiting for.

This is the view from my parent's house, off their back porch.
My dad is a huge fisherman and moved away from our "sorry" lakes in 2002.
I can't blame him. It is absolutely breathtaking where they live!
The only picture I could find (recent) of my dad. He is usually the one behind the camera.
We love you dad/grandpa and hope to see you soon!!!
XOXOXO

Play Time at the Rosie's

It is so nice to have a best friend on the same schedule as me. Even though Mrs. Roseland was busy with her new photography business, we were able to squeeze in some playtime before she headed back to teaching her 8th grade students today. Each and every time we get "Jay-Lo" together, it's gets better and better. They are so fun to watch. "Mine" has been the popular word from their mouths these days. They really do like each other!!

Kyan got this pet dinosaur (it moves and roars) from Santa and Jayla was NOT a fan. She is so scared of everything.
Kyan had to put his "pet" away. Later that day she came running and screaming out of the room she found it in. She then saw Lola running into that same room and started shaking and screaming, "Lola NO". Poor girl was trying to protect her friend from the scary monster. It was so sad :(
This is Lola's new kitchen, that Jayla REALLY enjoyed! Good thing Jay's birthday is right around the corner, as we may need to buy her this.
The girls were busting some dance moves to "Yo Gabba Gabba" here.
THIS was the cutest thing to watch.
They would take turns copying each other's moves
"Cheese"

Snack time
Look at Lola's cute piggies!!!

Jayla made a BIG mess

~Thank you Jenni for a very fun morning and for feeding Jay. I am so glad I got to finally see the big plans for your back yard!! I can't wait to see the finished product :):)~
