Back to School!!!

So I'm finally doing it!! Today is my first day of school. I am going to GCC for nursing. It should hopefully take me 2 1/2 years. I will be going Mon and Wed from 2:30 to 10pm (this semester). Grandma Garrett and Grandma Riley will be watching Jay til daddy gets home. Then daddy and Jay will have some great bonding time with just the two of them. I am super excited and nervous at the same time. It has been 4 years since I have taken any classes and 13 years since my last Math class.... YIKES. This is something I have always wanted to do but just couldn't find the time or MOTIVATION to go back and finish. After having Jay it has become even more important to me. Since I am no longer working I feel like this is just what I need to have some "ME" time. It is much harder than I thought being a "stay at home mommy". Even though I am very lucky to be able to do it, I know it is just not me! Having some time to my self makes me LOVE and MISS my family so much more!

I know it will all be worth it in the end!!

Sarah's Last Shin Dig...

My best friend since kindergarten is getting married on Sept 6th. 2 weeks ago we had her bridal shower at Lisa G's wine bar. It was so nice to enjoy a few glasses of wine, games, and just hang with the girls. Then on Sat night we through her a wild bachelorette party at my house. We enjoyed Mexican food, margaritas, TEQUILA jello shots, and cervasa's. We also got to enjoy the presence of Jason "male entertainer". We then headed out in a 15 passenger van to Hurricane Bay where the party ended within 15 minutes cuz Sarah passed out in the bathroom!!! She had a blast!!! And thanks to her all the other girls had an excuse to join in on the crazy night ;-)

I can't wait til her wedding!! It is gonna be so beautiful!!! Love ya Sarah!!

Fun with the Family

So Saturday night I got a chance to go get "saucy" with the family. First I started out bartending a friends poker party with my cousin "in-law". We enjoyed a few beers and served over 40 men in a pretty serious game of poker. Then we were off to a night at Hurricane bay to visit my hubby and the rest of my fam. I just wish I would have gotten more pics. We had such a blast!!

My Aunti Suzy and Uncle Phil came up along with my cousin Candy and her best friend Alicia. It was so cute to see my Aunt get down on the dance floor!! It was a long night that ended a 3:30 in the morning. Let me just tell you it is not the same when you become a mom. Sunday was a very, VERY long day for me, but it was a night well needed!! Thanks for all the fun!!

Jay's Sisters

So Jayla is in love with her little furry family friends. She just lights up every time Sydney, Maggie, and Baby come to see her. They all have adjusted well to having Jay around. We captured a few cute pics of her trying to "kiss" Sydney. So cute!!

Growing up so fast!!

My big girl!! It's hard to believe that she is 6 months old. She has been rolling over for a few weeks now. She moves clear across the room and can't figure out how she got there. She wants to sit up on her own so bad. She trys and then falls face first in ground. We keep thinking she is gonna break her nose. But she loves it and just keeps wanting to try more. I know once she starts crawling we are gonna have our hands full. She is so hyper. We have to keep her moving or she begins to get cranky!! And the toys, she has so many to keep her busy it looks like the state fair came to our living room! She especially loves her jumparoo. She plays in it for hours. She squeals and laughs in delight as she jumps like a mad woman. The personality in her just keeps on growing!!

I love watching little Miss Jay sleep. These are the times that we talk about having more. But then she always wakes up ;-). She is starting to look more like a little person. Wow they really do grow fast!!!

Brian's Birthday Fun!!

30th Birthdays aren't so bad after all. A few weeks ago a friend of mine celebrated his birthday in true rocker style. The party was at a bowling alley for "Rock in Bowl". He had us all dress as a famous 80's pop or rock star. Jenni and I planned our costumes out a week in advance. She as Madonna and me as Cindy Lauper. We even hand made our tutu's (along with some for our girls). Chad was Rick Allan (one arm drummer). Frank was Brett Micheal's, and his girlfriend Chrissy was Gloria Estevan. The birthday boy was a big surprise as Prince. He really should look into an impersonating job of him!! WOW. I wanted to ask for his autograph. Thanks for a great night B!!! SO MUCH FUN! I may have to steal the idea for my big 3.0.
