Sunday afternoon my friend Emilee had a baby shower/BBQ at the park. This was the second time we have taken Jay to the park, but the first time she was able to enjoy it. She had so much fun, even though her little feet couldn't get her to all the right places to play. She enjoyed being in Mommy and Daddy's arms as she went on the swings and slides. She couldn't stop laughing and screaming while she was swinging. It was so cute!! We promised her more trips to the park as soon as it starts to cool down. ~~~ She has also been doing this chewing on the bottom lip thing due to teething and we got it on camera. Not sure if you will notice, but it is so cute!!~~~

Messy Marvin
My Chunky Butt
My Dirty 30 in Prescott
Saturday I turned 30! WOW! I can't believe my 20's are over. We decided to head up to Whiskey Row in Prescott with about 15 of our closest friends. We had such a great time... So good that I couldn't remember much the next day. With that being said I had the worst hangover of my life. I kept telling Jearel I was never drinking again. Well not until my Ani concert on Wed ;-)
Thank you so much to everyone who made the trip up there and for making my birthday AMAZING!!

"Jay-Lo" at 7 months
Jayla and Lola are now 7 months old. Wow time sure does fly!! I can't believe how big they look and how much they are starting acknowledge each other. Lola is the sweet one and Jayla is the princess. Lola kept trying to play as Jayla tried to ignore her. I can already see Lola trying to share all her toys while Jay is screaming "Mine"... I need to work on this ;-)
Thanks for having us over Jenni!! It is always good to see you, the kiddo's, and Chad!!

The price you pay for being a GIRL!!
After waiting this one out since Jayla was two months old I finally found the courage and support to get Jayla's ears pierced. Just a day after she turned 7 months old we headed to the mall to meet up with Candis, Michael, and baby Camden. Candis has been ready to pierce Camden's ears since the day she was born. Unfortunately she had to wait til after her 2 month shots to get them done. I've been anxiously waiting for a friend to go with Jay and experience this together. We were in hopes that little Lola would have came too, but her mommy is waiting til she can remember the big day. Me, on the other hand, experienced the trauma of a 4 year old niece who remembers it NOT to be such a great day. I figured I would spare the traumatic experience for Jayla's memory in hopes that she would just thank me later for her beautifully pierced ears. She cried for just a bit as we went first and has now, a day later, forgotten all about them. I was a bit surprised that she clearly does not even care when you have to clean them or turn them in the healing process. It's as if she has no clue anything is even in her ears. Camden had her turn second and if you asked me did much better than Jayla!! Both girls where such troopers and look absolutely adorable with their pretty little diamonds sparkling in their ears.
Thank you so much to Candis and Camden for "holding our hands" through this memorable experience!! It was so good to finally meet beautiful Camden!! Jayla can't wait to spend more time with her!!!

Welcome Brody Mitchell Skorstad
My brother, Adam, and sister in law, Jessica had their little baby boy on Sep. 10. It was a long day for them after going into the hospital at 4am to be induced. He was born at 7pm weighing in at 7lbs 7oz, & almost 21 inches long. 7,7,7,... That's one lucky baby!! This is Jessica's first baby and my brother's 3rd baby boy. I am now an Aunti to 7. Jearel and I are excited to have a cousin for Jayla close to her age to play with and to grow up with!!

Sarah's Wedding in Cornville, AZ
This was my first weekend away from little Miss Jay. I left early Friday morning to drop Jayla off with Grandma Riley for the weekend, and head up to help Sarah out for her big day. I called Jenni moments after I left my mother in law's house in tears. I have been waiting and wanting a little vacation only to realize it is soooo much harder than I thought to leave my little munchkin behind.
It was a wonderful weekend.....
Everything went almost perfectly besides my drama at these little cabins we rented. The first night was like Arachnophobia. I had to get up at 2 am and drive into Sedona to rent a real room!!
This is where Jearel and I stayed the second night as well!!
The wedding could not have been any more beautiful!! It was just breath taking. Sarah was stunning as well!! Thank you guys for a AMAZING time!!
