Ok so this was last year, at the same pumpkin patch, and WOW what a difference a year can make.
My sweet little baby Jay :)... It's hard to believe she is almost two.
Last year we met our good friends, The Creels and The Roselands, at Tomachoff Farms for their pumpkin patch. We had such a great time that we decided to make it a yearly tradition.
Our plans, this year, was to meet last Sunday. Unfortunately Jayla came down with the flu. So instead of heading to the pumpkin patch with our friends, we headed to Phoenix Children's Hospital (mama was worried about the swine flu). They loaded her up with some meds, fed her a popsicle, and sent us on our way. This was Jayla's first time being sick (not bad for a 20 month old). She was a trooper- never really cried, so besides the bad poops (which lasted a week), it wasn't too bad.
Jayla got better, just in time, to have her fun at the patch and is ready to go for tonight.
She has been saying "tic er teet" all month long.
Grandma and Grandpa Riley joined us last night.
Jayla was a little hesitant of all the animals at first.

Jayla was a little hesitant of all the animals at first.
She liked watching the chickens from a distance. Thank goodness for the fence.
Grandpa was showing her the baby chickies.
This was about as close as she got to actually petting the baby chicks, then she screamed "NO"
Even in the petting zoo area, she clung to daddy. Such a little scardie cat.
Jayla was super excited for the train ride at first- then about 2 seconds into our ride, she couldn't stop saying "NO". Thankfully she didn't cry, because I don't think the train driver was stopping for us.
Finally it was time to pick a pumpkin... Jayla hugged and kissed lots, and tried hard to pick them up so we could take them home with us.
More kisses
Hee Hee- she liked the pumpkin chair
My sweet little punkin!
Since Jayla couldn't quite pick up the big pumpkins, we took her to some that were more her size. This didn't help, she just chucked them across the dirt.
On to the corn pit
She loved putting the corn on her head
And especially loved throwing the corn in the air. I think she was trying to get Grandpa.
This was Jayla's favorite part of the patch- The Three Little Piggie's houses. I am thinking Grandpa Skorstad is going to have to build Jayla a little house like this (Hint, Hint- Dad). For those of you who don't know, my dad has a real talent in building, now if I could just convince my parents to move back to AZ. Oh how we miss them even more come the holidays.
Even though Jayla missed her friends, Kyan, Lola and Camden, this year, she had no problem finding a new one- She was trying to boss this little boy around.
At this point she was trying to force him to stay in the house and play with her.
And then they met again on the hill of hay
