My Sister's Keeper

Jenni and I were able to sneak away from the kiddo's yesterday afternoon. We met up to see the movie, My Sister's Keeper. Jenni already read the book and told me such great things about the author, Jodi Picoult. I couldn't wait to go see the movie and now I can't wait to read the book. Especially after Jenni told me the differences in the endings.
I think we balled our eyes out from the moment the movie started to the very end. This movie really hits home for anyone who has ever lost a loved one to cancer or struggled through the battle to survive. Even though this wasn't based on a true story, this is the reality of life. I just hope someday they will come up with a cure to treat every form of this deadly disease.

This movie is a must see!!

No joke, we cried the entire time. Do not wear makeup if you go see this movie - will be completely cried off by the end.

i've been slowly reading this book. about once a week i sneak away and go sit at barnes and noble with a book for a few hours. I do this on top of whatever book i'm reading at home because it's usually the only time i get away from the kiddos! but this book happens to be the one i'm reading now. i'm about 3/4 of the way through and have cried since the beginning! it's a really good story.

ps - i'm jearel has probably cashed in all his vacation time this year between the cinders and CA, but there will be a dune trip halloween weekend this year if you guys are interested in going.
